New Lambton Football Club is thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural ParaFootball season – a 7-a-side modified version of the game designed specifically for athletes aged 4 to 18 years with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), and symptoms resulting from stroke.

ParaFootball, which made its Paralympic debut in 1984 as Cerebral Palsy Football, has evolved to include athletes with various brain injuries and related conditions. Coordinated under modified FIFA rules, this exciting format features seven players on the field, a smaller playing area, no offside rule, and adaptable throw-in techniques to ensure every participant can showcase their abilities in a fun and competitive environment. Matches consist of two halves of 30 minutes each, promoting skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

We warmly invite all interested athletes and their families to join us for this inclusive sporting opportunity. Training sessions will be held through the week and games will be played every Sunday at Novocastrian Park, our club’s home ground in New Lambton, providing a supportive community atmosphere where every player is valued.

To make this initiative a resounding success, we are also calling on volunteers – friends, family members, and community supporters – to assist us. We need dedicated facilitators and game-day helpers who are willing to lend a hand, ensuring smooth operations on match days and creating a welcoming environment for all participants.
