New Lambton Football Club is seeking expressions of interest from experienced, enthusiastic and player-centred coach to assist with leading our Zone Football League Women’s program for the 2026 season.
We’re a community-focused club with teams across junior, senior, and Zone League programs - and we’re committed to supporting coaches with strong club structures, facilities at Novocastrian Park, and a clear pathway into our wider women’s program.
Role SummaryWe’re looking for a Coach to work alongside New Lambton FC’s ZFLW Head Coach to help plan, lead and develop a competitive, inclusive Zone League Women’s squad. As part of the ZFLW coaching team, they will be responsible for on-field performance, player development, training planning and match-day management, and working with the club’s Football Department and Technical Directors.
Key Responsibilities~ Help plan and run weekly training sessions (typically 2 evenings per week).
~ Lead match-day coaching and team selection.
~ Assist with the preparation of the season training plan, tactical approach and player development plans.
~ Communicate with players, parents and club leadership; uphold club policies and safeguarding standards.
~ Attend occasional coach development / club meetings and support recruitment.
~ Work with club staff to support pathways into higher-level women’s teams.
Desired Skills and Qualifications~ Prior coaching experience leading senior women’s teams or strong youth-to-senior development experience.
~ Relevant coaching accreditation (Football Australia / FNSW coaching badges preferred - e.g., C Licence or equivalent) and commitment to ongoing development.
~ Current Working With Children Check and First Aid (or willingness to obtain before season start).
~ Strong communication, organisation and people-management skills.
~ Club-aligned values: inclusive, development-focused, respectful and positive.
